Overview

IRC.nvim brings real-time Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channels directly inside Neovim buffers, eliminating the need to context-switch away from your programming environment.

Technical Details

• Non-blocking TCP Sockets: Implemented using Neovim's internal libuv event loop (vim.loop / uv).
• OpenSSL Integration: Native Lua binding with OpenSSL for encrypted IRC servers (port 6697).
• Buffer UI: Channels, private messages, and user lists render as separate interactive editor buffers.
